Russell T. McHugh, an accomplished trial attorney and the senior partner of the firm, has been practicing law for over 23 years, specializing in medical malpractice, personal injury and commercial litigation.  He has successfully represented hundreds of clients in a wide array of cases, from basic slip and fall and automobile negligence matters through complex medical malpractice, product liability and commercial cases in the New York State and Federal Courts.   

A 1986 graduate of the Washington College of Law of the American University in Washington, D.C., Mr. McHugh commenced the practice of law representing product manufacturers, doctors and hospitals at the several large and prestigious defense firms Mr. McHugh had successfully argued before the New York State Court of Appeals and had proven himself as a trial attorney.

After honing his trial skills representing doctors and hospitals and rising to become partner with a medical malpractice defense firm for several years, Mr. McHugh refocused his talents and energy on representing individuals and their families who have suffered catastrophic losses due to medical negligence and accidents.  Mr. McHugh’s transition was a smooth one.  He used his considerable experience and knowledge of defense litigation to achieve outstanding results for his clients.  After associating himself for several years with a number of prestigious New York City medical malpractice/personal injury firms, Mr. McHugh started his own firm in May 2004.  Then, he formed this partnership with Mr. Lambrou during January 2005.

Mr. McHugh is an aggressive and well respected trial attorney who spends his life fighting for the rights of the firm’s clients, while not losing focus on the needs of the clients and their families.  Mr. McHugh brings a personal touch to the practice of law and dedicates hours to those clients whose cases are selected to be certain that the client is at ease with and aware of each step of the process.  Each client’s case that he accepts is personally handled by Mr. McHugh and prepared from the outset as if were to proceed to trial.  He is available to answer his client’s questions anytime of the day or night.
